Before 2019 comes to an end, Samsung is going to launch its new premium Galaxy A phone, which will be known as Samsung Galaxy A90. The phone was spotted in June and some of its key specs revealed that it will have 5G support. Now, the Galaxy A90 5G has appeared on the WiFi Alliance website, suggesting its imminent launch.
The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G model number SM-A908B is recently certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This means that the Samsung company is very close to announcing a launch date for this device. It also becomes the first smartphone outside Samsung’s Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series to be capable of latching onto the 5G network. While it does not belong to the flagship series, it does sport some serious hardware in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It looks like Samsung has picked the processor primarily for its 5G capabilities as none of the mid-range Exynos and Snapdragon processors have 5G capabilities. It has Android 9 Pie software and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, there is not much certification site to tell about the Galaxy A90 5G.

It shut down rumors about a 4G variant of this device.
