Hardware

Central processing unit

The first and most important hardware of mobile phones is CPU central processing unit, similar to those we have in computers, but it operates in low power environments. The performance of mobile CPU depends not only on the clock rate.

Display

The second main characteristic of smartphones is the screen. Depending on the device’s design, the screen fills almost all of the space on new phones. Screen sizes are measured in diagonals

Sound

Some of the new features are added to the latest phones like voice over LTE and HD voice to enhance the quality of sound in smartphones but the quality of the cellular network and compression algorithms used in long-distance calls is also a problem in the quality of sound. Mobile phones have small speakers and speakerphones so that a person can talk on the phone without holding it. .Audio quality can be improved using certain devices in smartphones.

Smartphones have a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Earlier mobile phone battery life was poor due to the weak batteries that could not handle the significant power requirements of the smartphones but now with new technology give an adequate battery life to smartphones. Even wireless charging is also provided in some of the smartphones like Samsung galaxy note 7,nokia6.1, Apple iPhone XS and many other new phones.
